Biography of Mitch Albom
Mitch Albom is a best selling author, journalist, radio and television broadcaster and musician. He was born on May 23 1958, in Passaic, New Jersey. After attending high schools in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey, Mitch left for college after Junior year. Majoring in sociology, he got his bachelor's degree in 1979. While living in New York, he volunteered to work for the local weekly paper; eventually returning to school, earning a masters degree from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism, followed by an MBA from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Business. Mitch became a full-time writer, his first full newspaper job was as a sports columnist for the Fort Lauderdale News. In 1995, he married Janine Sabino and decided to move away from sports and become a writer. All three of Mitch’s best selling books have been turned into movies. He now lives with his wife in Michigan.
